Internships at Hand & Eye are open to all and usually last for two weeks. Interns learn to set and proof type and are given an introduction to typography. In return they help with general duties around the workshop.
We take bookings in three month blocks, and ask applicants for a deposit of £25.00 before the booking is confirmed. It is returned at the start of the internship, or sent to the
Disasters Emergency Committee if the intern cancels within three weeks of it starting.
We put a notice on our
blog when we are taking bookings. We won't answer general enquiries about internships because we want to spend as much of our time printing as we can.
